Investigating the Impact of Morphological Awareness in Relation to Reading

The purpose of this study is to help expand the understanding of Morphological Awareness in explaining differences in reading comprehension between individuals with and without a diagnosis of dyslexia whilst also focusing on other cognitive abilities and language devices to help aid in understanding this better. This research will be conducted online.

Requirements

  • Over the age of 18 years old.
  • Proficient English reader.
  • If you have a diagnosis of dyslexia, you should not have any other neurodevelopmental disorder (such as ADHD) or any other reading disability.
  • Completed primary education within the United Kingdom.

This study has been approved by Teesside University's Psychology ethics committee on April 9th 2025.
